The Motorola Gold Elite Gateway (MGEG) is an interface which allows a CENTRACOM Gold Series Elite console system to access and control a packet-switch-based wide-area trunking system. The MGEG utilizes a Microsoft Windows operating system and custom application software developed Motorola to provide audio vocoding, system fault management and configuration services.

120 Full-Duplex Audio Sessions
The MGEG supports 120 full-duplex audio sessions. Supported configurations include 2 or 4 MGEGs which supports 240 or 480 full-duplex audio sessions respectively.
Industry Standard Compact PCI Platform
Industry standard design allows the MGEG to take advantage of advances in technology and simplifies obtaining replacement parts in the future.
Single-Point Configuration
Centralized configuration done via the trunking system's network management sub-system eliminates the need to enter configuration data multiple times.
Fault Management
Centralized management done via the trunking system's network management sub-system allows status, faults, etc. to be monitored from one location.
